Description
Lava Tube is a tube-shaped thermal barrier product designed to protect sensitive components in environments with excessive ambient temperatures and direct heat. The material is a specially formulated Heatshield Products fibrous thermal barrier weave made from volcanic rock. The basalt fiber allows Lava Tube to protect components from continuous temperatures of 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit, and intermittent temperatures of 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes Lava Tube an ideal and superior alternative to silicon-based thermal barrier sleeves in applications above 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Lava Tube is also extremely durable against abrasions and chemical exposure.
